Welcome to the website of the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinical Trials (TBI-CT) Network. We are a team of academic centers around the United States studying the treatment of traumatic brain injury under a cooperative agreement with the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

The Network is designed to conduct multicenter observational studies and clinical trials among patients with traumatic brain injury. Our goals include: evaluating acute and rehabilitative interventions for efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness; studying the interaction between acute care practice and rehabilitation strategies; and following patients to assess long-term functional outcomes. Funding began in October 2002.

This Center is funded by cooperative agreements from National Institute of Child Health and Human Development's (NICHD) Clinical Practices Research Program (CP) within the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR)
